Evaluation


Definition of Evaluation


Evaluation is the systematic process of assessment, measuring, analyzing, collecting and reporting of information about the student´s knowledge,motivation, attitudes, skills, intentions and behavior, regarding to specific content, social context, previous experiences and feedback for the purpose of making ethical and fair decisions about student´s development and level.





Key points:


Process:
Sequence of interdependent and linked procedures which, at every time, leads with one or more skills into meaningful learning and desired goals and objectives.

Motivation:
encouraging the students by appropriate methods, approaches and classroom procedures by affective attitudes from the teacher.

Social context:  
teachers have to ensure that student´s evaluation is practical,viable, lawfully ,ethically and socially appropriate regarding to the rights of the students and other persons involved.(School, home and community)

Skills:
the four skills of learning, reading, speaking, listening and writing are covered by the right method and we have to ensure that the content is understood by the students. We have also to consider what kind of evaluation (Test V/S Assessment) we apply

Feedback:
Feedback is an paramount factor for student´s evaluation, not only for the student but also for the teacher because based on learner´s experience and learner´s appraisal the objective can be reached, have to be modified or even eliminated.

Measuring: 
we have to monitor the learners with clarity and accuracy to ensure analyzing and diagnose by providing complete information about the scoring process
